In most instances with small homes across the GTA, we are asked to design entirely new homes. Despite contractors’ preference to work with a blank slate, we almost always push back to explore the opportunity of working with the existing home.

In the case of the Brynhurst Home, a dated  and dilapidated existing structure could have easily been torn down and sent to the landfill. Instead, BLDG Workshop worked with the contractor and the client to create a new life for the home that would properly address all of the family’s needs.
