Drawings have been created for a new project near Lakeridge Ski Resort.
A steeply sloped site with sweeping views has pushed the design to be cut deeply into the surrounding landscape. A camping trip was carried out to engage with the site and understand the best ways for the home to connect both to the land and the views of the opposing valley.
As the home climbs out of the landscape, cantilevered spaces have been added to give the homeowner the sense of floating above it. Numerous exterior gathering spaces and a small reflecting pool are integral to the design allowing the home and landscape to continue to co-exist with daily activity.
